Construction has wrapped on the first building at Western Sydney Airport.  This milestone project has been completed to Quikdeck's high quality standard.  Our client, Watpac, is extremely happy with the outcome and superior finish.  The complexity of the wrap-around 3mm Corten steel cladding, which required every sheet to be individually measured and cut, and the curved zinc cladding, truly showcases Quikdeck's skill and craftsmanship.  This project is a standout.  Keep an eye out for this project in the national roofing association awards!

Project Description:

Quikdeck is proud to be awarded the first building to be constructed at the new Western Sydney Airport site by prestigious Australian builder, Watpac Limited and NSW Government.

The visitor centre will provide the public a window to see how the future $5.3 billion Western Sydney Airport at Badgerys Creek is built.

“It will be a cutting edge design, and be built on site to give the community and visitors a real insight as the airport takes shape” Minister for Cities, Urban Infrastructure and Population Alan Tudge said.

The roofing and wall cladding is a complex circular design, using new technologies with Corten Steel and premium Colorbond products to achieve a modern and futuristic aesthetic. In short, the project will be a standout once completed.
